This photo was taken by a very dear friend of mine - Reza Ali, we had shared many journeys together and till today, he continues to touch, move and inspire me.
I started my first blog on blogspot with “Holding Infinity In The Palm Of My Hand”… and I felt it only right to dedicate a whole page to share with you my story.
About one year before this photo was taken, Reza had shared with me one day that he was looking for “Holding Infinity In The Palm Of My Hand”, and he began his quest by taking various photos of people’s hands… this was inspired by William Blake’s poem, the opening of Auguries of Innocence:
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
About a year later, he asked my partner and I if we could model for him, and we agreed… to my utmost surprise — this was one of the photos he took of us! I can hardly describe to you how I felt when he showed me this photo… and the title he gave it! Thank you Reza for this invaluable Gift.
~ Holding Infinity In The Palm Of My Hand ~
What it means to me…
is more than holding the world in my hands…
it is knowing that all I ever wanted in life is within my grasp
whatever I have now, is what really matters most…
When you see this photo… what does it say to you?
Do leave your comments, I would love to hear your thoughts
And see the world in your eyes too…
