My unreasonable friend asked me…
Why do I want Love?
It actually took a hard knock on my head to begin to believe that I deserve to Love, to fully experience the ESSENCE and the MAGIC of love, and to allow myself to be loved.
When I thought that I didn’t deserve love and that I’d have to ‘work’ very hard to earn Love… It was easy for me to Give but hard for me to Receive… and so life felt like a struggle.
Then I thought, what does Loving myself mean to me?
Loving myself means that…
I deserve to be HAPPY… just allowing myself to be happy,
I deserve to be HEALTHY… to enjoy my wealth and share my happiness especially with the ones I love,
I deserve to be RICH… to have peace of mind and have the power to choose,
I deserve to be FREE… to have the courage to express myself especially with the people around me,
I deserve to be PASSIONATE… and go all out for whatever I feel is worth living for and what I believe in
I’ve come to realize that Love for myself gives me COURAGE, FIRE and PASSION to take ACTION — to Make a Difference in my Life and all who hears the echo of my heart…
One of my mentors, who had passed on recently and left a legacy behind, Shantelle Gold, shared this beautiful quote with me…
